First published in December 2003, the Riverside and Grangetown Advertiser was distributed monthly until September 2004 when the Canton and Pontcanna Advertiser was started.

From this point onwards the two areas have alternated monthly, with many local businesses advertising in both areas. Both editions have increased in size, drawing new advertisers each month, and also featuring many adverts on a regular basis. The Roath and Cathays Advertiser was added in October 2006, and is published mid-month, every two months.

One of the many aims of The Local Advertiser is to help local businesses to communicate with the many potential customers in their community at an affordable price. It is essential for businesses to be able to market themselves and attract customers without the cost being detrimental to their finances.

We believe that using local businesses is essential to the community. By spending your money with local busineses, you ensure that the local economy benefits, and prevents your money contributing to the profits of multi-national companies.
